Grassroot Democracy
Panchayati Raj, often termed as "Democracy at Grassroot" being tarnished by violent political forces and local administration and central armed forces failed to ensure law and order.
Even in 21st century, instances of rigging and booth- looting in elections present a gloomy picture of Bengal and raise serious questions on governance. Looking at the visuals, it seems the goons are backed by forces in power and fearlessly looting the polling booths. At the same time, administration deployed at the polling stations look helpless and act as mute spectators.
It won't be an exaggeration to say this govt a dictatorship, looking at the way it functions. In every election, there are pre-poll clashes, rigging and post-poll clashes.
Despite strict guidelines from High Court, State Election Commission and the entire machinery of state govt. failed to deliver on security front, deployment of security forces were less and security management was not upto the mark. This resulted in several loss of lives in the festival of democracy.
The soft power policy of current Bengal regime against goons, illegal immigrants and refugees is politically motivated. It's threat to democracy, constitution, human rights and sovereignty and thus such policy should be done away with in the interest of bharat.
